We stated our celbration by going to my Uncle Todd's house for his birthday on the 1st. He always gets fireworks for his bday. So we stayed until dark and watched them. They were some really good ones. Logan was so excited about the flashing. He wasn't scared at all. He was staring at them without blinking and then his lips would go halfway to smile and then back to unsure. He is so cute!

We started our day by going to the 4th of July Parade in Idaho Falls. We had to leave at 8:30 to get a good spot. We got a parking spot at the zoo and then walked across the large park to the road where the parade was. We were an hour early so that we could get a good seat and also try to sell hair bows. David and I took a poster with the hairbows on it and walked about a block up and down the parade rout. By the time the parade started we had made about $100 and sold most of the bows. The kids got flags to wave from someone passing them out and Logan really liked that. He would not let go of his. He even fell asleep in the car with it in his hand. David and Kaitlyn loved the parade. It was a little long and Kaitlyn had to go to the bathroom so we left early. Then we went back home and rested and then packed the car to go back to the fireworks on the river. .JPG)

parking. So we drove around for a while. Then we decided that we didn't want to walk that far with all the stuff we had to haul. So we ended up parking at the Temple. WORST SPOT EVER! We knew it would be hard to get out. It started raining when we got there so we just sat in the car for 30 min and watched all the people running to find a tree to hide under. It was funny. Then we packed up a stroller and walked up and down the river to find that perfect spot. We found a pretty good one with shade and we could see the fireworks. So we planted ourselves and I put out my poster with hair bows on it. I sold a few just sitting there. We looked around us and saw a lot of chairs and coolers and grills and such. It looked really red necked. So I told Mike I wondered what we were sitting by. Then we found out! I was correct! A big family with abnoshous little kids and all the adults smoking and had cups with straws in them. They kept getting into a cooler and pouring stuff into their cups. Obviously it was beer. They Stunk! So I got tired of it and David and I went for a walk with the bows. We sold a few more and then on the way back to our spot we found Mike and the kids walking to find us and a new spot. We ended up sitting in front of the temple and across the street from the river. It was a much better spot to sit. We didnt have anyone to bug us. We played games and ate dinner, snacks and then the kids just ran around for a while until the fireworks started. Every year we tell ourselves to remember the radio! We remembered it but not the batteries! They always play awesome music to the fireworks and you have to have a radio to hear it! Next time. Logan actually stayed awake to see the fireworks. He loved them again! He turned away half way through, he was to tired to watch anymore. When it was over it was only a walk around the Temple to get to our car, but then it was an hour of sitting to even attempt to get out. So we sat and stared at the Temple all lit up in the dark sky. It was Cool! Then Logan was past tired and would not go to sleep so we got him out and walked him around. Finally he crashed. So did the other kids. They had a long day. We ended up making it home after midnight and went straight to bed. .JPG)

We went to Walmart on the way and got some dinner and snacks. Then we went to see if we could park where we did a couple years ago. It was just off the freeway and it was so quick to get home. Well... that was closed off! Also the entire river was closed off to
