My Grandma Johnson

SHELLEY -- Yvonne H. Farmer Johnson, 76, of Shelley, died March 11, 2008, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls.
She was born May 10, 1931, at home in Arco, Idaho, to Lorenzo Stuart Farmer and Hazel Combe Farmer. She attended schools in Arco.
On Sept. 3, 1949, she married Vernon P. Johnson in Pocatello. Their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple in 1950. She worked as a switchboard telephone operator; waitress at the Royal Bakery in Arco; as a nurses' aide at Lost Rivers Hospital; and as a nurse technician and as a custodian at the INEL.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in several callings, including in Primary and Cub Scouts and as a visiting teacher supervisor. She enjoyed keeping a clean house and cooking family dinners. Yvonne loved time with her family.
Survivors include her husband, Vernon; children, Danny (Diane) Johnson of Shelley, Brad (Kathy) Johnson and Connie (Lou) Aguilar, both of Pocatello, and LaRon (Raylene) Johnson and Todd (Jeannine) Johnson, both of Shelley; 16 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 15, at the Shelley LDS 2nd Ward, 325 E. Locust St., with Bishop Barry Hanson officiating. The family will visit with friends from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. today at Nalder Funeral Home, 110 W. Oak St. in Shelley, and from 9:30 a.m. to 10:40 a.m. Saturday before services at the church. I hope the funeral went well and that you are all doing well. I missed you at church today... Were you there or is your back still terrible? I hope it gets better soon, that has got to be awful.... Call me if you need help with anything - especially with your back hurting so bad!!!! I'd be happy to run over and help you!
