Car Update

We had our friend Jared work on the car and he put a new timing belt and serpentine on. But after it was all done it still didn't work correctly. The only repair book we could find on the thing was through a dealer and it cost $130 and would take a week to get here. We called around and found a shop here in town that would give a free estimate. $900 to repair it. Much better than we thought. Everyone that has this car has had the belt go out on them around 60,000 miles and paid around$2000 for repairs. CRAZY. We were not even told to check it that soon. There were some pistons/rods (don't know what I am talking about) bent. So the mechanic said he will work on it Monday and he will have to send the head to a machine shop and that will take around 4 days. Then he will finish the car when that comes back. He is hoping that he doesn't find anything else wrong. I am hoping to have a car in a week and a half. We have now canceled our vacation and buying any baby furniture. All the money we are getting in our stimulus will be going into the car. I also have to pay the first Dr visit for the baby. Insurance wouldn't cover it because it was the day before the insurance went into affect!!! We get to find out what we are having in a week and a half!!! I cant wait I want to make a blanket and I have already started buying clothing.... girl and boy.... it was on sale. I learned something new in photoshop last night.
check it out. I will have to play with it a little more and get a better photo to enhance.
